Lincoln Lutheran waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-42 W against the Lincoln Christian Crusaders. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 67-52 win back in January.

Lincoln Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Duitsman, who posted ten points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Holle, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Defeat or not, Lincoln Christian got some senior leadership from Cj Cuciti and Andrew Penrod. Cuciti almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Penrod earned 15 points. That's the most points Penrod has posted since back in December of 2023.

Lincoln Lutheran's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Lincoln Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.

Lincoln Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-26 win against Fillmore Central on the 12th. Lincoln Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
