Baseball Recap: Norwalk Triumphs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norwalk). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Maywood CES Wolfpack on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

The team relied heavily on Hector Alvarado, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that he stole this season.

The win got Norwalk back to even at 2-2. As for Maywood CES, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Norwalk will be playing at home against St. Paul at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Maywood CES, they will head out on the road to face off against Roybal at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Maywood CES has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
