Basketball Recap: Andrew Kelly's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian Academy over Oak Forest

Faith Christian Academy lost against Oak Forest back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Conquerors came up short against the Warriors, falling 68-48. The matchup marked the Conquerors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Kelly, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Howard, who posted six points along with ten assists and seven boards.

Ryder Zingelmann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oak Forest, dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, Zingelmann is now averaging an impressive 17.4 points per game. Jack Hunter was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Faith Christian Academy fell to 4-1. As for Oak Forest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Faith Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 58-27 victory against Pamlico Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Oak Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-54 defeat against Cary Christian on the 17th.
