Baseball Recap: Nipmuc Regional Takes a Loss

Nipmuc Regional was the 6-2 winner over Boston Latin Academy when they last played one another back in June of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 6-2 to the Dragons on Monday. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Nipmuc Regional saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Giancola, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Giancola has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

Nipmuc Regional now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Boston Latin Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Nipmuc Regional will square off against Sutton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Boston Latin Academy, they will face off against Boston English at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
