Baseball Recap: Trimble Tech Triumphs

Trimble Tech saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Molina Jaguars.

Jesus Castillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trimble Tech is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5-2 otherwise. Castillo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jonathan Perales was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Nick Martinez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Trimble Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Trimble Tech now has a winning record of 6-5-2. As for Molina, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Trimble Tech has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against North Side on the 11th. As for Molina, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-6 loss against Wyatt on the 7th.
