Lancaster Catholic came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 35-14 to the Halifax Wildcats. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Cohen Bechtel was his usual excellent self, rushing for 95 yards and one TD for Halifax. Joseph Witmer made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Lancaster Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Halifax, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Lancaster Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Halifax, they will venture away from home to square off against Steelton-Highspire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
