Softball Recap: Cypress Creek Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Cypress Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Cypress Falls Eagles on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Tullia Lane, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Arenas, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Cypress Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Cypress Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Cypress Creek has already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against Cypress Ridge on the 4th. As for Cypress Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-7 loss against Northbrook on the 4th.
