Baseball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 19-0 to the Elkins Elks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Elks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Tuesday.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Elkins, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Fork will host Northwest Arkansas HomeSchool H at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elkins, they will face off against Rogers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mountaineers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Elks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
