Baseball Recap: Franklin's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Franklin's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weston Ranch Cougars, sneaking past 10-9. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Yellowjackets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jay Corona, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Corona has posted since back in February. Miguel Rojas was another, going 3-for-4 with one run.

With the win, Franklin broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-11. As for Weston Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Franklin beat the Cougars by a score of 13-3 on Wednesday.
