Basketball Recap: Bandon Finds Home Court Redemption Against Umpqua Valley Christian

There's no place like home for Bandon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 victory over the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bandon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Bandon and Umpqua Valley Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Bandon will take on Reedsport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 188 places (74 vs. 262). Similarly, Umpqua Valley Christian (ranked 97th) will meet Glendale (ranked 254th) at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
