Softball Game Preview: Forbes Road vs. Southern Fulton Indians

Forbes Road are taking a road trip to face off against the Southern Fulton Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forbes Road comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Forbes Road fell victim to Meyersdale and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Red Raiders, falling 9-0.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Southern Fulton and Fannett Metal have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Indians lost 11-3 to Fannett Metal. The Indians haven't had much luck with Fannett Metal recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Southern Fulton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Harvey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Brynley Schriever, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Southern Fulton now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Forbes Road, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Forbes Road might still be hurting after the 27-12 defeat they got from Southern Fulton in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Forbes Road avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
