Football Recap: Tolar Comes Up Short at Home Against Peaster

Tolar unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Peaster Greyhounds on Friday, falling 34-0. The Rattlers lost against the Greyhounds in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 10-0 score last time.

Peaster found their leader in sophomore Hudson Salyers, who rushed for 184 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Looking ahead, Tolar will be playing in front of their home fans against Teague at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peaster, they will head out to challenge Ferris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
