Basketball Recap: Central Carolina Prep Takes a Loss

Central Carolina Prep suffered their biggest defeat since January 17th on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 107-56 loss at the hands of the Oak Hill Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Defenders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 258th in North Carolina, while the Warriors are ranked 11th in Virginia).

With the loss, Central Carolina Prep broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-18. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Oak Hill Academy, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-10.

Central Carolina Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Hill Academy, they will take on Long Island Lutheran at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Long Island Lutheran will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Oak Hill Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
