Basketball Game Preview: Montrose Red Hawks vs. Forge Christian Fury + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Montrose Red Hawks will jump right back in to play the Forge Christian Fury at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Montrose is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 21st on Friday. They were outmatched by Peak to Peak and fell 63-33. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Red Hawks' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the defeat, Montrose saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cache Oberg shot 56% from the field on his way to 10 points. Those 56% shooting accuracy set a new season-high mark for Oberg. Kayleb Rogers also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Meanwhile, Forge Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Glenwood Springs 80-52. The Fury have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Forge Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Montrose won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, slipping by Forge Christian 50-49. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fury turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
