Recap: Westside Seminoles vs. Griffin Bears
The Westside Seminoles managed to keep up with the Griffin Bears until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Westside suffered a rough 63-43 loss at the hands of Griffin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westside has scored all season.
Westside's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Christian Little, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, and Marcus Hood who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Hood continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Griffin, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Perry at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Perry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Westside is ranked 158th). As for Griffin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Laurens is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
