Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. North Dallas Bulldogs
Roosevelt extended their losing streak to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-9. They lost 15-0 to the North Dallas Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-1 on Tuesday.
As for North Dallas, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
For North Dallas' part, Kenyerber Rivas was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave Rivas a new career-high. Lyric Strambler was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to take on their familiar foe Pinkston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Dallas will face off against rival Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
