Softball Recap: Gruver Takes a Loss

Gruver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-7 to the West Texas Comanches. Surprisingly, this marked the Greyhounds' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Gruver's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for West Texas, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Gruver will square off against Lockney at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for West Texas, they will challenge Memphis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comanches are facing the Cyclones at the right time seeing as the Cyclones are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
