Baseball Recap: Bald Knob Takes a Loss

Bald Knob came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the Pangburn Tigers. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bald Knob saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Shoebottom, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Shoebottom is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Keegan Smith also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Bald Knob's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Pangburn, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Bald Knob will challenge Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Pangburn, they will be playing at home against Hazen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
