Basketball Recap: West Fargo Comes Up Short

West Fargo suffered their closest loss since January 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Shanley Deacons by a score of 70-67. The Packers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Deacons earlier this season, when they won 82-31.

West Fargo's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Shanley, they moved to 1-15 with that victory, which also ended their 18-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Fargo will take on Grand Forks Central at 7:15 p.m. on February 11th. As for Shanley, they will challenge Fargo South at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Shanley is facing Fargo South at the right time seeing as Fargo South is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
