Basketball Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Texas School for the Deaf lost against Veritas Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Texas School for the Deaf Rangers came up short against Veritas Academy, falling 54-34.

Veritas Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shepherd Smitheal led the charge by putting up five points and four steals. Smitheal continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Perry Kinane, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Texas School for the Deaf has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Veritas Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Texas School for the Deaf nor Veritas Academy have any future games scheduled.
