Basketball Recap: Coconut Creek Comes Up Short

Coconut Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Flanagan Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 81-61 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Flanagan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jason Carias out in front who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Moesch, who put up nine points.

Coconut Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Flanagan, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

Coconut Creek has already played their next contest, a 74-26 defeat against McArthur on the 30th. As for Flanagan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-48 loss against Nova on the 3rd.
