Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kaitlin Cooper and Kierston Rozell

Meadow Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richwood Lumberjacks. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lumberjacks earlier this season, when they won 32-18.

Meadow Bridge's loss came despite strong showings from Kierston Rozell and Kaitlin Cooper. Rozell posted 12 points and five rebounds, while Cooper earned eight points and 11 boards. Rozell has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Even though they lost, Meadow Bridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Richwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

As of now, neither Meadow Bridge nor Richwood have any future games scheduled.
