If Wayne Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cape Fear Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Lila Hammer. The Hurricanes walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday for which the team can thank Hammer, who had seven digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cape Fear Academy was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 22-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Cape Fear Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Wayne Christian, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.
