Recap: Northside Panthers vs. Scarborough Spartans
The Northside Panthers won the last time they faced the Scarborough Spartans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Northside managed a 53-49 win over Scarborough.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside to victory, but perhaps none more so than keith Wilson, who scored 11 points along with five steals. The contest was Wilson's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Jerryus Mathews was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Northside's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Scarborough, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Northside will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston Math Science & Tech at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Scarborough, they will head out on the road to face off against Furr at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Furr's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Scarborough has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
