Scotus and Aquinas are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Scotus Shamrocks will head out on the road to take on the Aquinas Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Scotus' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Last Saturday, Scotus earned a 60-48 victory over Lakeview. The win continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Aquinas last Tuesday. They came out on top against Archangels Catholic by a score of 56-43.

Scotus better focus on containing Bryant Stouffer and Kailer Pohl as the pair were huge in Aquinas' win. Stouffer dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards, while Pohl went 6-for-8 on his way to 17 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Pohl is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Storm, who posted eight points.

Scotus' victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Everything came up roses for Scotus against Aquinas when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 66-38 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Stouffer, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 19 points and seven rebounds.
