Football Game Preview: Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals vs. Oscoda Owls

The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals will head out to challenge the Oscoda Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johannesburg-Lewiston comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Kalkaska on Friday. They were beaten by the Blazers 56-0.

Meanwhile, Oscoda came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 20-14 W over Tawas Area on Friday.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oscoda, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Johannesburg-Lewiston couldn't quite get it done against Oscoda in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as they fell 24-14. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
