Softball Recap: American Canyon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Justin-Siena last Wednesday, American Canyon came back down to earth. The Wolves lost 8-1 to the Vintage Crushers on Friday. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Crushers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Madison Del Castillo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

American Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Vintage, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, American Canyon will face off against Maria Carrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vintage, they will venture away from home to face off against Petaluma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crushers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
