Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waterford-Halfmoon walked away with it. They blew past the Schoharie Storm 8-1 on Thursday. Waterford-Halfmoon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Schoharie with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Conner Belonga (3), Payton Galuski (2), Logan Sheehan (2), and Blake Guertin.

Waterford-Halfmoon pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those eight matchups. As for Schoharie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Waterford-Halfmoon will square off against Loudonville Christian on Monday. Schoharie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
