Softball Recap: Holy Cross Cougars vs. North Bullitt Eagles

Holy Cross extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 8-13 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the North Bullitt Eagles. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for North Bullitt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.

For North Bullitt's part, the result came thanks to Kylie McRoberts's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Addison Ferguson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Sydney Wiseman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Holy Cross will take on Western Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Bullitt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
