Football Preview: Mitchell Mustangs vs. Anclote Sharks        
        
		
             Mitchell is 5-0 against Anclote since August of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Mitchell Mustangs will square off against the Anclote Sharks at 7:30  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mitchell has eight straight  wins, Anclote has 18 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Last Friday, Mitchell was fully in charge, breezing past Sunlake 49-7. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.
 Mitchell's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Cayden Thomas, who threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and   Corey Simms, who gained 214 total yards and two touchdowns. Simms' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 124  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Bryce Backus, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Mitchell was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 261  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in August.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mitchell's defense and their three sacks. In that department,  Ethan Andrews was the leader with two.
 Meanwhile,  a  victory for Anclote just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were  outmatched by Dunedin at home  and fell  50-7.
 Mitchell's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Anclote, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
 Everything came up roses for Mitchell against Anclote in their previous matchup  back in August of 2019, as the  squad secured  a  49-7 victory. In that  matchup, Mitchell amassed a halftime lead of  28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
