Preview: Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers vs. Conestoga Pioneers
The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Conestoga Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marple Newtown is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, Marple Newtown came up short against Delaware County Christian and fell 53-40.
Meanwhile, Conestoga entered their tilt with Harriton with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Conestoga came out on top against Harriton by a score of 53-42 on Thursday.
Marple Newtown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Conestoga, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Marple Newtown beat Conestoga 59-52 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marple Newtown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
