Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Etiwanda Eagles

Rancho Cucamonga hasn't had much luck against Etiwanda recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will take on the Etiwanda Eagles at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Rancho Cucamonga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Saturday, Rancho Cucamonga came up short against La Mirada and fell 76-64.

Meanwhile, Etiwanda lost 75-51 to Roosevelt on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Mustangs are ranked first).

Rancho Cucamonga's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Etiwanda, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Rancho Cucamonga couldn't quite finish off Etiwanda when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 60-58. Can Rancho Cucamonga avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
