Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Bakersfield Drillers

The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will face off against the Bakersfield Drillers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Ridgeview came up short against Stockdale and fell 56-49.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bakersfield's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 72-60 to Bakersfield Christian.

Ridgeview will need focus on slowing down Kade Johnson, one of several Bakersfield players who made an impact when they last played. He went 10 for 23 on his way to 27 points. Johnson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamren Owens, who posted nine points and three steals.

Ridgeview dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bakersfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9.

Ridgeview suffered a grim 70-49 defeat to Bakersfield in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Johnson, who went 13 of 26 en route to 30 points and five boards.
