Soccer Recap: Argyle's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Argyle proved they can win big last Friday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Richland Royals 1-0. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 172nd in Texas, while the Royals are ranked 414th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Argyle's one-goal win came courtesy of Kayden Ayala, who's now up to six this season.

The win (which was Argyle's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. As for Richland, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Argyle has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Colleyville Heritage on the 25th. As for Richland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Ryan on the 25th.
