Baseball Recap: Smithson Valley Comes Up Short

Smithson Valley blew Pieper out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Pieper got their revenge. Smithson Valley fell just short of Pieper by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rangers have suffered since March 1st.

Smithson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Pieper, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4-1.

While Smithson Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
