Basketball Recap: Zoey Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Woodrow Wilson over George Washington

Woodrow Wilson lost against George Washington back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles took a 62-47 bruising from the George Washington Patriots. The Flying Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodrow Wilson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Williams, who went 8 for 19 on her way to 21 points. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Donya Burton, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Woodrow Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for George Washington, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
