Volleyball Recap: Highland Takes Down Ranked Desert Ridge

Highland faced Desert Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Hawks blew past the Jaguars 3-0. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

While Highland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Camryn Thruston, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine matchups.

Highland pushed their record up to 21-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Desert Ridge, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.
