Baseball Recap: Big Valley Christian's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Big Valley Christian dropped to 5-3-1 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 11-4 to the Summerville Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since April 29, 2025.

Big Valley Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Avila, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Avila's first of the season.

As for Summerville, their win bumped their record up to 5-1. Considering they have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Summerville's side, Kruz Bankston was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Adam Roberson was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Big Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 defeat against Linden on the 17th. As for Summerville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-4 victory against Riverbank on the 17th.
