Baseball Recap: Duncan's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Duncan won the last time they faced Fort Thomas and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Duncan Wildkats came out on top against the Fort Thomas Apaches by a score of 9-5.

Ethan Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaac Harris, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Karsen Lacey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Duncan's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Fort Thomas, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duncan will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Baboquivari at 3:45 p.m. on March 24th. As for Fort Thomas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sequoia Pathway Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
