Softball Game Preview: Miamisburg Vikings vs. Centerville Elks

For the second straight game, Miamisburg will face off against Centerville. The Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Elks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miamisburg has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Miamisburg couldn't beat Centerville on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Vikings fell 13-8 to the Elks. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Elks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mikaela Holp and Katie Enneking stepped up to the plate in a big way. Holp went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Enneking went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Natalie Hemberger also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Centerville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Miamisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
