Baseball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Southside Seahawks. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southside, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Columbia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bear Grass Charter at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Southside, they will be playing at home against Ocracoke at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
