Basketball Recap: Bessemer City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 47-42 to the Lincolnton Wolves. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Bessemer City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Saniyah Moore went 12-for-30 en route to 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Kynndal Thompson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincolnton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nyjaiviah Blake, who posted eight points and four steals. Addison Beam was another key player, putting up ten points.

Bessemer City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lincolnton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
