Baseball Recap: Clay County Comes Up Short

Clay County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Nicholas County Grizzlies, falling 12-4. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost six in a row.

Clay County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Nicholas County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Clay County will venture away from home to challenge Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nicholas County, they will host Woodrow Wilson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
