On Tuesday, Gladstone faced Frankenmuth in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Gladstone Braves lost  56-36 to the Frankenmuth Eagles. The Braves' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Despite the  loss, Gladstone had strong showings from  Lillie Johnson, who  went 8-for-19  on her way to 20  points and five  boards, and  Eva Pankonien, who  posted six points. That was a full 55.6% of Gladstone's points, marking the tenth time in a row  Johnson has  had  more than a third of the team's points.
 Frankenmuth's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Clare Conzelmann, who  put up 19  points and five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Macy Donovan, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 12 points and nine  boards.
Gladstone's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for Frankenmuth, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.
 Gladstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frankenmuth, they will face off against Tecumseh at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Tecumseh will roll in looking for their  20th straight  win, something Frankenmuth surely won't give up without a fight.
