Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Cherokee Braves

The Centennial Knights and the Cherokee Braves will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While Centennial didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Lassiter on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cherokee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-52 victory over Hayesville on Tuesday.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Cherokee, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
