Basketball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wake Christian Academy extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 71-30 loss at the hands of the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 67-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

As for Wilmington Christian Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Wilmington Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Trent Davies, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 20 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Davies also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 78%. Ryan McConekey was another key player, shooting 86% from the field en route to 13 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will host Grovemont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harrells Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
