Volleyball Recap: Bismarck Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bismarck waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Kingston Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bismarck took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-9, 25-10.

Ashley Hawkins paced Bismarck's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hawkins got some help from Kinsey Hubbs and her 33 assists. Hubbs also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Halie Dickey, each putting up five.

Bismarck's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Kingston, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Bismarck will head out to challenge Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingston, they will venture away from home to face off against West County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
