Softball Game Preview: Hannah-Pamplico Raiders vs. Johnsonville Flashes

The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders will take on the Johnsonville Flashes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hannah-Pamplico will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Hannah-Pamplico is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Johnsonville. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since May 15, 2024.

Kadence Poston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chloe Cooper was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payten Poston, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hannah-Pamplico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johnsonville only posted a batting average of .250.

Johnsonville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.
