Effingham came out on top against Taylorville on Thursday thanks in part to Saige Althoff's efforts. The Tornadoes had no answer to Althoff as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Althoff has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
