Baseball Game Preview: Brockway Rovers vs. DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals

Brockway is 0-10 against DuBois Central Catholic since May of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Rovers will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Brockway didn't have quite enough to beat Bradford and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, DuBois Central Catholic won against Kane on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Cardinals didn't even let Johnsonburg on the board, marking the Cardinals' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Snowberger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Brayden Zatsick was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Johnny Varischetti was another key player, earning three runs.

DuBois Central Catholic pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Brockway, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
